Cash loan FAQs answered
Quick answers about applying for a cash loan through Techno Loans.
Getting started
Most questions about small cash loans come down to three things: who we are, whether you can apply, and what happens next. If yours isn't covered below, our guide to how a cash loan application works walks through it step by step.
FAQ
Common questions
How does Techno Loans work?
You complete one short online application and upload your bank statements securely. We then offer your application to licensed lenders, and a lender assesses it and gets in touch.
Is Techno Loans a lender?
No. Techno Loans is a trading name of Swift Loans Australia Pty Ltd, which holds Australian Credit Licence 461533 and provides credit assistance. Lenders make every credit decision and set the loan terms.
Who can get a cash loan?
You can apply if you're 18 or over, an Australian resident, and receive a regular income into an Australian bank account that has online banking. Lenders then apply their own criteria, so meeting these basics isn't the same as approval.
How much can I apply for?
Anywhere from $500 to $10,000. Choose the amount you need on the slider. A lender may offer you less, or decline, depending on what it believes you can afford to repay.
I'm on Centrelink, can I still apply?
Yes. Lenders take Centrelink payments into account along with any other income and your living costs. Policies differ, and some lenders won't lend where Centrelink makes up most of your income.
Is there a fee for applying with Techno Loans?
If you accept a loan, the lender's establishment fee, monthly fees or interest will be listed in your contract. You pay us nothing. We offer your application to licensed lenders, and the lender that buys it pays us a fee. Each lender sets its own price using its own criteria, so we don't know the amount until the sale.
When will I know if I have a loan?
After you submit your application and bank statements, the lender that picks it up will contact you by email or SMS. How long that takes is up to the lender.
What happens if I miss a payment?
Contact your lender straight away. Missed payments can attract fees and may be listed on your credit report, and lenders must consider requests for hardship help. Please read our Warning about Borrowing before you apply.
Can I apply again if I'm declined?
Yes, although it's worth waiting until your situation has changed, for example a higher income or fewer debts, as frequent applications can affect your credit file.
